Does Ford have any engines designed by Jaguar? - 1
Ford owned Jag for several years, & they made some common chassis together. At the moment I don't remember which, but it is possible.
Yh the 1l fiesta has the same engine as a 4l f-type
hope this helps
I actually think jag uses ford designed engines… Or at least some of the engines they use are modified versions of ford engines (like the 3.0 V6 in the F-type)
Ford used the Jaguar AJ35 engine is the 2000-2005 Thunderbird.
Jaguar used a variant of the Duratec 30 in the X Type
Jaguar also used Ford's 2.0L Ecoboost engine in the XF, XJ, and for the 2015 XE
They might share a lot of parts after all Ford owned Jaguar so who knows for shure
Not that I know of
No but I can make your moms engine purrrrrrr
Not currently.
However Jaguar still uses some Ford-designed engines (the V6 petrol units in most of its models is Ford derived, the V6 diesel is derived from the Ford-PSA "lion" engine, and the current 4-cyl petrol turbo unit is derived from Ford's 2.0-litre Ecoboost unit (although this is actually based on Mazda technology, and it is expected to be replaced within the next few years by a derivative of JLR's own "Ingenium" engine). JLR have recently replaced the 2.2-litre diesel based on the Ford-PSA unit with the 2.0-litre diesel version of their new Ingenium engine.
Ford did use a derivative of Jaguar's V8 engine in the 2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird and 2000-2006 Lincoln LS, although not in the same specification as used in any Jaguar vehicles.
My aunt works for a german company that makes parts for ford, jaguar and another car company.
- Jaguar Land Rover Apprentiship cars? I'm thinking of starting an Apprentiship aT JLR after I finish my GCSEs this year, i was wondering if they offer discount rates on their cars through a company lease? (Such as a Ford Fiesta). I have friends parents who work for JLR and pay £400 a month for their Range Rovers etc…
- Ford Fiesta or Jaguar X Type? I currently drive a 3dr 2012 Ford Fiesta but have a baby due very and i'm thinking that the fiesta may not be very practical in terms of size and only having 3 doors. I have always fancied a jaguar so I've been browsing around and found that you can get 04/05 x type jags, with 30 - 40,000 miles for about £4,000. So my question is, would it be a wise move to sell my current car for a jag, which i think could be more practical and more of a prestige car?
- Will rims designed to fit 235 tires fit 255 tires? I soon need some new tires for my 2001 Ford Explorer, the current tires are 255/70R16 and I don't plan to change the size when i get new ones. I would like to get new rims with them. I found some that say they fit my car, but it says the rec. Tire size is for 235/70R16. I'm assuming/hoping the rims will still fit but I just want to make sure before I purchase them with the new tires.
