I said this…
The first thing I would do, is get rid of all of these pipsqueak, miserably underfunded and understaffed transportation systems.
And create ASTA.
Arkansas State Transit Authority.
I would contract with Bombardier for trains, Trams and Monorails.
And with NovaBus, New Flyer and Motorcoach Industries for Busses.
Ford, Freightliner and Caterpillar for utility vehicles.
And Ford for Taxi cabs, and Transit police vehicles.
And with Turner Construction for facilities.
And it would be paid for with a raise in state taxes.
Period.
Because this place is thriving, and has an influx of too many people.
To operate like it used to…
