Am looking for first car $8000 or under

I'm looking for a first car but am having trouble as i'm fussy, I want a hatchback but not a small 2 door as I have a big family. I'm looking into ford territorys, holden cruzes and all those small SUVS also but i'm having trouble deciding. What can you recommend?

It has to have at least 4 seats (No Corvettes or Miatas etc.), and has to be 2001 or newer. I've been researching for a while and the sportiest looking one I can find is a 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse or a 2008 Ford Mustang GT.

  • Best new first car under $20,000? I'm a 16 year old guy and my parents want me to get a new car (they have less problems/repairs). The only catch is that it must be under $20k and I have to pay 25-50% of the price. I really want a 2014 v6 mustang, but my dad thinks fords are trash.
