99 Ford Windstar Compression range?

I have a 99 Ford Windstar 3.8L V6 with 155, XXX miles. My husband has noticed coolant in the oil and oil in the coolant. We think it could be a head gasket issue but not 100%. Van still drives but has lost its power. Upon doing a dry compression test we got the results cyl#1 190 cyl#2 190 cyl#3 200 cyl#4 205 cyl#5 205 cyl#6 210. Then we did it wet with 1=240 2=260 3=240 4=225 5=270 and 6=230. According to the chiltons this means there are worn rings since compression came up when it was wet vs dry so hubby thinks its time to get a diff engine and rebuild this one as he now believes the cylinders are worn but wants it drivable as soon as possible with the original rebuilt as a backup. Also in the book it says two adjacent cylinders with equally low compression means bad head gasket and specs say 101 minimum compression. I'm confused as to what is an acceptable compression range and is it worth it to purchase a good used engine versus fixing the head gasket(s). I'm basically lost any input is greatly valued.

From those readings and your two compression tests I'd opt for a rebuilt engine as replacing a head gasket appears likely to be only a partial fix. The labor it takes to replace a head gasket on an overhead cam engine is considerable plus you'd still have weak compression from the worn rings.
