96 ford windstar broken rear lugnut stud?
Rear drum seized up so removed tire tapped with hammer and sprayed wd40 and it spins again, but one of the studs snapped off and is stuck inside of the lugnut so is it still safe to drive with 4 lugnuts holding tire on instead of 5 as its the rear tire and am guess its less stress on the rear tire lugnuts then the front tires.
It wouldn't bother me. If there's enough room you can drive the broken stud out and pull in a new one with a new lug nut. And some tapping.
Honestly yes it will be fine 99.999% of the time I have, and no many people that have driven thousands of miles and no problems, never heard of anyone having a problem but it is a easy cheap fix. My local used tire shop charges 10 bucks to fix.
Buy a new one one at any auto parts store.
You can replace the stud without removing the axle. Most any garage can do that.

If it ain't can anyone help me out with a link showing information like this but about a 2000 model? Thanks. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11808484-2003_ford_windstar_fuse_box_diagram
- Is this normal or is my ford ranger fuel gauge stuck/broken? I recently purchased a 2007 ford ranger, and i do not know much of how its fuel gauge works yet. I filled it up for the first time a couple days ago and drove it about 35 miles since, and the fuel gauge still shows full. The gauge shows empty when i turn off the truck and then upon starting it up returns tot he full position like normal. Is this normal for ford rangers, or otherwise what could be wrong? Also what would be the range on a full tank for this type of truck?
- Tstat Ford 94 Mustang: broken bolt, drilled new hole for a bolt? Replacing thermostat in my car when the bolt broke leading us to need to drill a new place for another bolt right next to the old one. Will drilling this and placing a new bolt, hold the thermostat in place and work to keep my car from over heating? I have no idea if doing this will work…
- I have a ford mondeo that had broken down. I called AA and they ran it through their computer and it said fuel sensor problem. I went to a? Garage and they replaced the fuel sensor. I drove up the street and the car broke down again. Plugged it in at the garage and it said fuel sensor fault. The garage then took that fuel sensor out and put it back in the car it was from and it was working. What could be the problem?
