Is a 2012 Nissan Sentra a good car?
Ok, so, I'm 17, and me and my parents have been looking at what could be my first car as when my senior year starts, I'll be leaving school earlier but I still have things after school and it won't be easy using parents' cars and using the bus isn't an option. So, we've been looking at affordable used cars, and we found a 2012 Nissan Sentra with 113k miles for $5,000, with a clean CarFax. Is this a good car for a senior in high school, who will likely keep driving this in college?
What's a "good car"? Everybody spits out that phrase, but nobody ever defines it.
Assuming a first-time driver, the Sentra is appropriate because (1) it's not overly fast and (2) insurance costs are not notoriously high. Reliability is about average.
Bad tranny
In 2012 it was. In 2017 after 5 years of use it will depend on how the car was driven, how the car was maintained and how many previous owners the car had.
- What car would be better for me 2012 infinity g37 sport or a 2012 mustang gt? I'm 18 and I'm getting ready to get a new car in 2 months. I've been driving an 03 Ford Focus and I'm ready to upgrade. I'm a very responsible driver and I've been driving for almost 4 years. So I wanna know what would be the best vehicle for me. And what is more reliable and cheaper to maintain?
- Can a 2012 Nissan Rogue tow a 1999 Ford Mustang? I'm moving to California and have two cars. I plan on driving the Rogue and towing the Mustang, but I don't know much about cars and their limits. If I rented a trailer and put the car in there would that make it easier for the rogue to tow?
- Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Nissan Altima, Ford Focus, Kia Forte? I'm having a really hard time choosing between which car I want. I'm 22 years old, I'm in college. I want a car that's fast, reliable, good on gas, and one that's able to keep its value.
- Nissan Altima vs 2012 Ford Focus or 2010+ Toyota Corolla? I'm looking for a car that is fast, reasonably priced, reliable, holds value, and doesn't continuously need a lot of work. Your help is much appreciated.
