Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Nissan Altima, Ford Focus, Kia Forte?
I'm having a really hard time choosing between which car I want. I'm 22 years old, I'm in college. I want a car that's fast, reliable, good on gas, and one that's able to keep its value.
Fast enough for traffic? Just find the deal of your liking.
Out of these five you will find that the 2.5L Nissan Altima has the most get up and go. It is also going to be the roomiest. The other four a good quality and reliable automobiles as well but they all will be quite smaller and not as smooth riding as the Altima.
None of these cars really meet your requirements. I'm a 20 year old college student and drive a Focus and I love it. It's not fast though but it's reliable (as I sometimes have to travel for my job) and I get 33 mpg! Fill ups are cheap too and I have the hatchback version as I'm always moving stuff so that's really helpful! It also doesn't hold its value well but personally I don't care because I'm not trading it in or selling. The Corolla will hold the most value, also good on mpg, and reliable but not fast. The rest all kind of fall into the same category. If you want fast consider the Focus ST, it's fast but expensive and uses premium gas. Out of your list only one I wouldn't consider is the Altima as commuter cars should be small and easily fit into small spaces. If your college campus is anything like mine the smaller the car the better.
If you only drive 50 miles or less why not buy an used Nissan Leaf electric car? No gas, no oil, no anything but a place to plug it overnight. MIT has over 50 parking spots on campus for electric vehicles to charge while parking.
I'd get the Altima.
Nissan Altima. Most of its competitors are certainly worth a look, but this Nissan has all the makings of a benchmark. It does all the little things right, and goes the extra mile with its rewarding driving dynamics and high-end cabin. Passenger space is also quite good, though some may find backseat headroom a bit lacking. The Altima has always had a nice jolt when it comes to its performance, which is what has kept it a favorite ride for the youth movement as much for the day-care crowd. It's tech savvy, it's efficient, and always in fashion - the Altima story lives on.
Toyota Corolla
Altima is a class above the others, the altima turns more heads, get it with a CVT transmission for effieciency
- Which car is the overall to keep for a couple of yrs? 1999 Nissan maxima, 1999 Altima, 2006 ford Taurus or 2002 buick lesabre? All of them have low mileage as the Taurus have 69000 and the maxima have the highest of 123000. They all under 1100 bucks.
- Acura TSX, Ford Fusion, or Nissan Altima? My aunt would like to get a newer car and these are the three she's considering. We're looking at 2012-2014 models.
- 2013 Honda Accord, Nissan, Altima, Or Ford Fusion? The car is for college so I need something reliable which would be best? I would also like to have it for 4 to 6 years at least, and obviously that actually depends mainly on how I take care of it
- Nissan Altima vs 2012 Ford Focus or 2010+ Toyota Corolla? I'm looking for a car that is fast, reasonably priced, reliable, holds value, and doesn't continuously need a lot of work. Your help is much appreciated.
