2003 Ford Mondeo Estate Parking Sensors Not Working?
Just bought a 2003 mondeo estate ghia.
Has parking sensors but they don't engage when I start reversing. No sound. I'm still waiting for a Haynes manual.
Anybody know where I should start looking in the meantime?
Any know common issues?
Do the reversing lights work?
Are they factory sensors or after-market versions?
Pre-facelift (up to mid 2003) Haynes diagram does not cover the factory reversing sensor

EDIT
The control box is hidden in the boot behind a trim panel on the nearside.
It is possible the previous owner disconnected it if one of the sensors was faulty.

Fred K, reverse lights do work and the package is factory fitted.
- 2003 Ford Taurus SES heat not working correctly? The thermostat will be up to temp where it should be reading on my dash, I also have plenty of antifreeze in and I'm almost positive that wouldn't be my problem… When I turn the the heat on I will get decently hot air blow out for a few seconds and then it'll immediately turn to cold air… What do you guys think? Hopefully it's a fuse I'm thinking

- How to claim an abandoned vehicle that is in a parking lot I do not own? I have been watching this classic ford sit in a parking lot for the past 3 weeks. I believe it is abandoned. I do not own the lot it is in though. Does anyone know what I need to claim it as my own? Tell me everything too please! It is a ford falcon just to let you know if it changes anything. I'm guessing 1976ish
