1999 Ford Contour Trouble?
Alright so I have a 99' Ford Contour and it's died on me right on the highway! While I was in drive going 60 mph also the reason how I figured out it had died was because the RPMS where going up and down and then all the lights came on like if I had powered off my vehicle…
It could be in the fuel system! Start by changing the fuel filter and then run a pressure test on the fuel system at the fuel rail under the hood! If the pressure reads low after you change the filter then it could be the fuel pump or fuel regulator on the fuel rail!
I have a 1998 ford contour, and my stalling problems were because of my fuel pump. It's likely that it's getting clogged and the engine isn't getting enough gas.
- Where can I buy a transmission range sensor for a 1999 Ford Contour? I need a new transmission range sensor for my 1999 Ford Contour 2.0L 4cyl automatic but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I really don't want to take it into the shop and pay over $100 for it when I can buy it and replace it myself. If you could please paste links that have it or stores that have that brand please let me know. It would be such a simple fix if I was actually able to find one.
