2000 v6 3.0L 2WD ford ranger vacuum reservoir location?

2000 v6 3.0L 2WD ford ranger vacuum reservoir location?

Added (1). I've for this for last couple days, took out air filter, took out half(front part) of passenger side inner fender, crawled under the truck with flashlight and looked everywhere to locate the Vacuum reservoir but I Can't find it.
Issue: When driving under load(rev up, going up hill) air flow goes to defrost rather than cooling me.
What I found: check vacuum lines. Especially the line going through reservoir or the reservoir itself.

Follow the vacuum lines that go towards the fender to locate which side the reservoir is mounted on.You'll have to remove the front wheel then remove the plastic fenderwell liner and the reservoir should be behind this liner. On a 2001 model its on the air filter box side of the vehicle but I'm not sure about the 2000 model. Its most likely under that plastic liner though so once you remove that, it should be visible. There may be a grey vacuum line that goes towards the reservoir so if you notice a grey line going towards the fender, this most likely leads you right to the canister.

  • I have a 1999 ford ranger and i have coolant in one of my vacuum lines? Its the red line that runs to the egr vacuum mod on the passenger side of the motor. The part that the egr line goes to as well. I'm not sure why I have coolant running through a vacuum line. This causes coolant to run to the egr valve so I need to fix it
