What octane should I use for my 1995 Ford Mustang?

Depends on which engine you have. Also, if you have the stock heads you must add "lead" additive every fill up too.

Just regular unleaded 87 octane. You won't seen any benefit from using anything higher.

87 octane. Unless you supercharged the engine then 93. But stock engine is 87 octane.

Same as the previous owner. The timing may have been altered to make the grade they used run well. Or you may have to correct the timing.

  • What oil type should I use on a 68 ford galaxie xl? I went to the auto store to ask but it wouldn't come up on his computer. He suggested 10w-30 so I bought a jug, but I want to double check before I put it in my car.
  • What fuel octane should I use for 1967 ford mustang? I'm wondering what octane I should use for my 1967 ford mustang. I've heard that the octane difference does nothing but I just want to know what you think because I really care about my car and don't care about the price difference.
  • Should I trade my 1995 ford mustang v6 5 speed for a 3000gt v6 five speed? Mustang runs and drives, 3000gt runs and drives but need ball joint and a arm. Should I trade if he throws money in for trade?
  • 1995 mustang RPM issues? I own a 1995 v6 ford mustang. When I'm driving some of the times it's a bit normal, but lately at slow speeds or when stopped my RPMs will rise and drop. When stopped it rises and Lowers pretty obviously especially as I slow down to a complete stop, you can hear it as well. When driving at slow speeds any where up to about 45 or 50 it also does this but not as noticabally and normally when I give it gas. If I give it more gas it definitely runs a little smoother but still does it.
