What is your take on the 2015 Ford Mustang V6? - 1

V6 Mustangs are either girl cars or douche cars.

Hi we have found Ford engines generally have no GRUNT when it comes to going up hills at any speed being short stroke engines onto flat yes fast and furious but no sustained power when attempting a long haul up a hill.

I pay no attention to V6 models. V8 or bust!

I owned a 5.0 and now have the V6. If you can afford to go with the V8 do it. Although the V6 has 305 HP I find it lacks torque to pull me up a slight grade unless I downshift to 5th gear. If you do buy one invest a couple of hundred more and get a more aggressive rear end than the 2.7. I would suggest the 3.3 gears.

It's for people that want a Mustang and feel that the Ecoboost engine just isn't Mustang, but can't afford the V8.
It's really only the V8 that is a real Mustang.

For the 2015 models. You don't have much in the way of options. There's no track pack available for the V6 anymore, you can't get nav, you can't get leather, you can only get the base audio system, you only have two choices in wheels, etc. It's the stripper model that's just there so they can advertise a lower starting price. Being a base model wouldn't be bad if you could at least get the track pack that you can get on the Ecoboost and GT models, but Ford doesn't let you do that.

If the GT wasn't an option, I'd take the Ecoboost over the V6.
