When I got into my car the other day I noticed that my window shield was cracked.what do I do?
So, my window has this small crack in it. I have no idea how it got there, because I'm certain that if this happened when I was driving I would have noticed it… It's as if someone threw a small pebble or rock at it. I do have insurance, but I'm worried because it's glass.I'm afraid there only response will be to install a brand new swindow. How much could this cost?

Call an auto glass company for a quote. When you ask a question about cost without telling us year make model, how in the world do you expect an answer? Window for a Porsche runs around $2,000, for a Ford Taurus around $250. I'd say yours is between $100 and $2,000.
They can fix the crack if it is small but you will have to hurry because the little crack will get bigger and then the windshield will have to be replaced. Mine was replaced and I think it cost around 400 dollars 5 years ago.
Call your insurance company and get your window replaced.
Don't ask us on here, we can't see the damage. Take to a glass shop & see if its repairable or not. If not, then you have to replace it.
MOST auto policies in the US cover glass, and between the shop and the insurance company, it is nearly unheard of to actually have to pay out of pocket to if the damage is repairable. If the windshield actually needs replaced, the total cost is usually LESS than the typical deductible.
There are ads on TV for something called "Safe Lite", or something like that. They are able to repair the crack. But for right now, just keep an eye on it. If you're lucky, it won't get any bigger, and you won't have to spend any money on it.
