Will I lose my truck if it has lean condition?
Will I lose my truck if it has lean condition?
Added (1). I have a Ford f150 2004, the code is P0174. I have inspections coming up and they make worry about losing my vehicle.
Well if you fix it then you won't lose it.
If you have an inspection coming up you know for sure you will fail unless you have this repaired. Code P0174 is Fuel Injection System Too Lean Bank 2.
Possible causes
- Intake air leaks
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection
My advice is to get this fixed before the inspection. That will solve your problem.
- Bank 1 and Bank 2 too lean? I have a 2004 ford taurus. About a month ago the CEL came on, ran to advanced auto to get a code and they said my bank 2 was too lean. Yesterday, got a code run again and they said bank 1 and 2 too lean. They said it was probably my oxygen sensors. The car has developed a rough idle when first starting up and has lost some power and acceleration. I plan to take it to a mechanic soon, but until then i'm trying to find out what the problem is. Any suggestions?
- 1998 Ford Mustang 3.8 V6 lean codes P0171, P0174 & P1151? I'm getting these codes and I can't exactly figure out what is causing this. Engine idles fine. Isn't misfiring or running rough. But it does surge a little bit when driving at about 35 mph. Hasn't died on me once either.
- Lifted F150 forward lean? I have a 2012 Ford F-150 with a FabTech 4' lift, 35' tires and 20' rims. The truck sits taller in the back by 1-1.5 inches. I know most stock factory trucks have that, what could it be? The truck drives flawlessly, no issues whatsoever.
- I have a 98 manual 4.2 v6 f150. The truck is in great condition and I don't want to sell it? The engine is on it's last legs and I was wondering if it would be worth swapping the engine with a new ecoboost v8 and switching to an automatic transmission. Any advice? Preferably from people who are familiar with Fords.
