Is buying a 2004 Ford Expedition with 250,000 miles on it a bad idea?
There's a really nice Eddie Bauer Expedition for sale in the area, it has everything when it comes to features, along with four-wheel drive and the whole works. The man bought a new expedition and is selling his, it's really clean. I've driven it before and it runs and shifts great, my concern is that it won't be shifting great for much longer (Transmission). It has the original transmission, but it's been taken care of for a 2004.
1. Lets say the transmission were to go out, does anyone know exactly what that would cost to replace from experience in dealing with this before.
2. Are there any other problems that might happen with 250,000 miles and only basic repairs over those years (Like I said, from experience, no guesses).
Thanks
(The picture was taken in the mans garage where its always been stored)
Yes, bad idea
250K miles is high even if its ten years old
- Typical lib thinking? Ford had no idea when it happened, had no idea how she got there, no idea how she left, clueless who was there? And despite that every person she listed as a witness made a statement in a sense said Ford was wrong… The lib brain… Get even at Trump…> yep - Kavanaugh did it.
- Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase? For 1,000? I'm wondering if anyone will recommend, a 2000 ford focuse with 161,000 mileage as my first car, I recently got my drivers permit I want a car to practice my driving skills and I stubbled into the 2000 ford focus.
- Should I even be thinking about buying a 2005 Ford F-150 with 261,000 miles? I have been in desperate need of a vehicle since my truck was stolen earlier last month and have come across, what seems to be a good deal. It is a 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4WD that drives great and doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it. But, it does have 261,000 miles on it. The dealer wants $8,980. What do you guys think? Again, I did test drive it and it seemed like a great feeling and sounding truck.
- Is a 2000/2001 ford explorer with 250,000 miles on it bad? Looking at a ford explorer honestly know absolutely nothing about it other than it has at least 250,000 miles on it supposedly highway and interior is a bit messed up. I haven't seen it yet but my boyfriend agreed that we wanted it already. We have kids and wanna make sure we will actually get some use out of it and it is worth paying $1000
