Why is everyone in america buying trucks and suvs?

It seems small cars are dying. And i heard ford and chevy is getting rid of there small cars. But why are most people buy overpriced suvs and trucks if you can get a small hatchback or sedan much cheaper and it is much more economical?

NOT

Not me. All over my neighborhood I still see majority sedans and hatchbacks parked. I think Ford and GM have given up the battle for number one auto builder and think they can win that spot with just trucks and suv, which they don't have the same CAFE mpg requirement, so they can keep building retarded vehicles.

Because SUVs and trucks are roomier and more practical for many people.

Because smaller cars are like coke cans… Easily squashed!

For the same reason dogs lick their dork. Because they CAN.

Versatility is why I have a Nissan Pathfinder. It is also well made and I could affdord it.

Real men drive trucks.

Ford and Chevrolet don't make small hatchback cars for the American market. Those are pretty much left to the Japanese and Korean brands. The cars they are stopping production on are mid-sized and full-sized family sedans.

Gas is cheap right now.
