Why do Republicans get upset when Americans buy superior Japanese vehicles?

The only somewhat decent US manufacturer is Ford but nowhere near the quality of Honda, Toyota, Subaru, or Nissan.

Who says Republicans get upset? As I remember it, Republicans were the ones upset by Obama using tax money to bail out his UAW buddies at GM.

Because you like to make things up.

Because it puts US workers out of work. In the end, what good does it do for you to buy a "superior vehicle if, in the end, no one has a job to afford it?

Ford makes the best trucks, and the Escape is an above average SUV but as far as compact-mid size sedans for daily driving you can't beat the Accord or Camry.

I would disagree with you on two counts:

1. I don't see a lot of Republicans complaining about people buying japanese cars, especially as many of those cars are actually made here in the USA.

2. Like hell US manufacturers can't compete. My current 8 year old Ford Fusion has been an outstanding car. In my 8 years and 85,000 miles, only 2 things broke. The stereo which was replaced under warranty, and the inside door handle.

Oh look, a Leftists imagining what Republicans get upset about

That never happens!

We don't.

in fact you libs were the ones who bailed out GM even though the cars they make like to catch fire.

I buy what I like and I like Japanese vehicles. 3 Jap care and one Ford truck. The question should be… Why do liberals assume they understand how conservatives think.

I think this is a misconception. Most republicans want to support American businesses and buy things that are made in America (which most American cars ironically are not…)
