Why do people tell me I'll get made fun of for being 18 years old and driving one of these cars?

Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, Cadillac DeVille, Buick LeSabre, etc.

Because they're old man cars.

I don't know I like the Buick 3.8 series 2 it makes decent power and is the most reliable v6 ever made. The ford 4.6 is a good engine to its reliable and makes decent power id stay away from the deville tho the north star 4.6 is a AWFUL engine. I like all the cars you listed there's nothing wrong with them

Drive anything you want.

I have a 1975 Buick LeSabre convertible, and once had a 1972 Catalina. It is a blast to have a living room on wheels. Go for it.

I would imagine they think those car models are for old fogies. They are big cars, but pretty safe.

Just put low profile 24" wheels and tires on it, tint the window limo-black and blast rap on a pair of 20" bass speakers - you will get respect.

Ain't nothing wrong driving a land yacht, as long as you can afford the gas. They won't laugh when seven of you ride to the concert (or where ever) in one car.

Pffft. The Crown Vic is a sweet ride - lots of power, lots of room for friends, CHEAP parts. I drive a Crown Vic P71 police interceptor, tons of fun.

Unless the people who are making fun of your car are offering to buy you something else with their own money, who cares what they think about your car? Drive what YOU want to drive, you're the one paying for it.

Because they themselves want to make fun of you. Tell them to go micturate up a rope.

A guy in my high-school class had a mid-60s Lincoln Continental. I don't recall anyone mocking him. Then again, I come from an era where being a jerk was discouraged.
