Which truck should i get?

I might be getting a new truck and one of them is a 2001 ford 7.3 with 4wd and it has 200,000 on it. It is an 8ft bed and extended cab xlt. I would like this truck because of the bed and the 4 wheel drive. The other on is a 2000 ford 7.3 with 200,000 on it with the extended cab xlt with the 6ft bed on it with 2wd i like the 00 because it was my grandpa's old truck and it has a manual. The other thing I like about it is I know what it has been through. I'm not sure which one I should get.

Considering the age of the vehicles. Knowing what the trucks have been through is a pretty huge deal. I've never bought a 4X4 to just ride around town running errands. But if the 4X4 is what you need then I would start by looking under the truck for leaks, rust, wear and tear, and mud. Finding dried mud in places like on top of the spare tire is a clear indicator that it was used hard.

Gramps's truck, hands down. You know its history, and you know you aren't buying someone else's problems. 2WD is cheaper to run, by a lot. The 8 foot bed makes parking tougher.
