If you're talking Commodore vs Falcon then I'd say Falcon all the way.
The V6 engines in the latest Commodores are actually a Saab engine that originally sat in an east/west position and have been modified to sit conventionally in the Commodore. They have heaps of grunt but the chain drive system that runs the variable valve timing starts to fail and get rattly at around 140,000ks. If not replaced then it will fail and destroy the engine. Replacement costs of the chains is around $2000 depending on where you go.
Simple things like replacing a thermostat or spark plugs involves removal of the plenum chamber adding many hundreds of dollars in labor costs to what should be simple tasks.
The Falcon's engine is designed and built by Ford and has evolved from the early 250ci cross flow engines. They to have heaps of grunt but their variable valve timing system is by far the better setup with no need for replacement. I've worked on BA Falcon engines that have done 700,000ks and they are still running as sweet as they did the day they were made.
A huge plus for the Falcon is that everything under the bonnet is easily accessed for maintenance cutting hundreds of dollars off servicing costs.
If you want to see it for yourself, then look under the bonnet of a Falcon then a Commodore and ask yourself, which one you'd rather service.
As far as looks and appointment go, I think they are on an equal level.
Anyway that's my take on the Ford vs Holden debate.
Ford. Way better.
If Holden is still making that little SS UTE, that would be my pick. We can't get them here.
FORD is good
I would say Holden for sure, they have it all, they have the looks that can pretty much turn peoples heads, they sound amazing, love a car that Roars and they have the power.
Ford is obviously better - people have done proper tests and ford has won but if you really want to know for sure I recommend you watching some videos on YouTube to see which one is better
Ford is better in many ways specially the turbo falcon series.
even Holden owners are lusting after a Ford
many people will mention that Holdens are loader and beefier. But the think is, making a car load is not a big deal and does not reflect the car's betterness

- Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from.
