Where can I find/how to make lifted leaf spring shackles?
I have a 1970 Ford Gran Torino GT I just bought. I plan to make it into a mad max style car. I'm wondering if there's any place that sells lifted leaf spring shackles or if I'm going to have to fabricate my own. I don't know much about leaf springs(this is the first car I've had with leafs). I'm looking for about 3-4" lift in the rear, not the front. If there are any other shackles with lift for trucks or something that'll fit, that'll work. If I do have to fabricate my own, what steel should I use and how thick? The cheapest route would be the easiest for me.
Get online with Jegs or Summitt Racing they will have them.
- Is a Lifted Ford Raptor a stick? When I turn 16 I want a Lifted Ford Raptor Truck. But my parent's don't want my first car to be a stick. But a raptor is my dream truck so is it a stick. I'd love to get something like this. And about how much would a truck like cost NEW. Thank you
