When I bring my car to get an oil hange at a ford dealership, do I just pull right into the service garage?
I've never gotten one I'm a new driver. I was wondering if I'm supposed to pull into the garage (the desk and stuff is in the garage) or park, tell them I need an oil change, and wait for them to tell me to pull my car up.
If you're going to the dealer, CALL first and set up an appointment. When you pull in, you will tell them your name and confirm you're there for an oil change.
You don't pull in, you pull UP to the service doors, get out and check in at the desk. The mechanic will drive the car inside the facility
Park in one of the service bays or visitor spaces and report to the service desk. Don't use a main dealer unless your car is still in warranty.
Unless you're a RICH new driver, never take it to the dealership for an oil change. Don't take it to one of those chain places either. Take it to a good local mechanic.
Take it to an oil change specialist and you will pay half that of a dealer. Ask for fully synthetic oil and it will protect the engine.
No! Never pull in front of or into the service the service bays. This is a high traffic area and NOT the place to leave your car. Park the car in the service area parking lot and take your keys into the service counter with your license number.
You park it and wait!
Ask them first. Park where they tell you, or let them park it.
- Why does my car pull to the right under acceleration? It goes straight when not accelerating, but if you hit the gas from a stop, it pulls to the right pretty hard, it has 92k miles, ford windstar, aligned at 77k miles… What could be the problem?
- Can bald tires make your car pull to the right? In my car Haynes Manuel they say it could be caused by bald tires, alignment, or other things i never hit no curves or anything, ever since my tires got bald on the sides, its been shaking at highway speeds and pulling to the right. My tires are bald on the saides but still have trend in the middle of the tires. I'm getting new tires today and balanced for free, will that be enough to fix my problem? Ford Taurus 1996 GL
- Nissan Altima to another dealership to get a basic service? Can i take my Nissan Altima to another dealership to get a basic service(oil change)i prefer the ford dealership i have been going to for my other car.
- My Ford dealer wants me to bring my car in for a 20K mile inspection. Is this necessary? I bought my 2013 Ford Fiesta brand-new from a Ford dealer in the summer of 2013. Recently I got a letter from them that I should bring my car in to the dealer for a 20,000 mile "inspection". Is this really a necessary inspection, or is it a ruse to get me to bring in the car so they can hunt for "issues" and then pressure me into "fixing" them for some outrageous price? Sorry but I'm suspicious of car dealers… I guess it shows, huh?
