What's causes a 2001 ford exsporer to die when you turn on head lights?
I have a 2001 ford exsporer sport track with a 4.0 and it will ideal as long as the mass air flow sensor is un plugger but dies if its plugged in or when I turn on the head lights it will die to
A problem with the alternator, it's losing field coil current to the rotor. Usually a internal voltage regulator issue.
Alternate reasons:
1. It's 13 years old.
2. It's a Ford.
3. It was engineered and built in Detroit.
- Looking for your opinion So I'm a mechanic i replace my head gasket on my 1996 ford ranger 2.3 gasket the head bolts the hole 9 yards I torqued the head 51 to 90 ft pounds and the sequence was 51 to 60 to 80 90 so I don't know if i should re torque head bolts or leave it? I'm afraid if i torque them again one will break what do you think paul?

- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?
