What year did ford quit making the 351c inch engine production model?

The 351Cleveland had great breathing heads, but a weak bottom end. The 351 Windsor had a rock solid bottom end but so-so heads. The 351 Modified tried to take the good parts of both & put it into one engine, but flopped. So, when Trick Flow came out with the very first set of aluminum aftermarket heads for the 351W that flowed better the the Cleveland heads, both the Cleveland & the Modified engines became obsolete.

Ford made three totally different engines that were all 351 cubic inches. The 351 Windsor, the 351 Cleveland and the 351 Boss racing engine. Ford still builds these engines but they are not installed in any vehicle they sell. You can buy them as crate engines. The last one installed in a vehicle Ford sold was the 2001 Ford Explorer.

The last year for the 351C was 1974.
