Will a 245/75/16 tire fit on my stock Ford Taurus ( 215/60/16 )?
Will a 245/75/16 tire fit on my stock Ford Taurus ( 215/60/16 )?
Depends on how you define "fit". The wider tire will (most likely) fit the stock 16" rims.
However, the sidewall on the 245 tires are 7.23" tall. The sidewall on the 215's are 5" tall. The taller tire will have a larger circumference, meaning your speedometer and odometer will actually be reading low.
Also, there's a good possibility the front tires will rub the suspension or the inside of the fenders when turning.
Yes or no
Usually the factory puts the biggest rubber on a car that the wheel can safely handle, so nope, you'll need a wider wheel…
No, not even close. A 245/75-16 sized tire is both too wide and too tall for your Taurus.
What about 215 75 16
- Will a 2006 taurus auto transmission fit a 2004 ford taurus? I have a 2004 ford taurus with an auto transmission. At first it was jumping out of overdrive, now it won't go in to overdrive and it slips.
- What Ford Taurus bumpers (front or rear) would fit a 2003 ford Taurus ses? Looking around and seen someone with a 2004 front bumper on a 2003. Looks nice but curious if any other bumpers would fit? I installed new centennial edition headlights with Silver Star Ultra lights. here's what it looks like so far.
- What 17 ford factory stock rims would fit a 2003 ford taurus? I own a 2003 ford Taurus ses sedan for now. It has the stock 16" ford Taurus rims (5x108 lug pattern). Looking to upsize to a 17" but if I can't find 17" ford factory stock rims i'll just get some that would look similar to the ones already on it (found some already)
- Can I swap 15 inch tire an rim with a 16 inch tire an rim? The rims an tires are off a dodge van, they are 5 hole rims, the car I want to put them on is a ford taurus with a 16 inch tire on it.
