Transported by University Special constables?

I'm only 15. I was on campus at the university of saskatchewan. I was with some friends when I got lost. I phone my cousin who goes to the university and told me to phone for a safewalk. I called for a safewalk and it was a university peace officer that show up. He talked to me and i told him that i'm a visitor and I got lost. He told me he will take me to my destination. He told me he needs to search me so i leaned on the car so he can search me then he told me that I will have to sit in backseat of his patrol car. He also asked for my ID. I was wearing hightops and a pair of those Adidas skinny soccer trackpants and a hoodie from my junior high school. He told me before i got in the backof the car that I will be video recorded sitting there. There was a barrier between me and the officer, window bars and i was sitting on a hard plastic seat. It was a Ford Taurus patrol car.

My question is
1. Why did he ask my ID
2. Why did he do a patdown on me and told me that I will haveto sit at the back of the car. Did wearing the hoodie and track pants make me look sketchy?
3. Why did he tell me that I will he recorded sitting at the back of the car.
4. Why did he make me sit at the back behind the cage and the hard plastic backseat? Did i get any nasty germs on my clothes from sitting there?
5. Why do they have the hard plastic backseat.
6. Do you think the officer went extreme? Asking ID and the pat down? I wouldnt mind sitting at the back. I was only there for 5-10 minutes

There was more legroom then i thought there would be at the back of the patrol car. My legs were not touching the cage that much and i was kinda sitting back slouched against the seat

Let's see… After hours at night a lone person is wandering around a college campus. Now why would security be cautious with you?

C'mon… Are you really that dense?

First of all his safety is first and foremost and for both of your protection he needed to document all the information concerning this 'courtesy' ride. It is common even in taxis that one rides in the back. Recording is also for the safety of both individuals. Patrol cars are no built for comfort but for functionality. I understand your naïve but if the situation was not comfortable for you stay out of trouble and know where your going.

Why didn't your cousin help you out?

Troll smarter, not harder.
If you called a 'safewalk' service, someone ON FOOT would have responded.
If you were with friends, there would be no reason ONE of you needed directions but the rest of you didn't.

1. So that he puts down the right name when he fills out a form with your name.
2. The patdown is to make sure that you don't have a gun and aren't going to shoot him. Being 15 and on a college campus is what makes you look sketchy.
3. He told you it would be recorded so that you know that you can't kill him and get away with it.
4. They make everyone sit in the back because if you were in the front seat, you could reach over and hit him or grab the steering wheel and crash the car. Germs probably aren't a concern, but wash your clothes anyway to be on the safe side.
5. The hard plastic is to prevent germs (it's easier to clean than regular seats are) and because if there were regular seats, then criminals would tear them.
6. No.
