Is it true that the Honda Accord has more American Parts on it than the Ford Taurus? - 1

Yes

A lot of "American" branded cars are assembled in Mexico using parts sourced who knows where.

Honda / Toyota, although "Japanese" brands have multiple factories in the US, and build many of their their cars there, with locally sourced parts.

From this page

Honda Accord, assembled in the US with 80% US made parts.
Ford Taurus rates similar to the Fusion. Assembled in Mexico with 20% US parts.

Most likely.

Japanese automakers build in the USA in order to avoid import tariffs… While American automakers use NAFTA to find places with lower wages and taxes to build their cars.

So… You'll have a Ford Fusion that is built in Mexico… And a Toyota Camry that is built in Kentucky.

  • Ford Mustang GT vs Honda Accord? Ok, so this upcoming year I will be a senior. I plan on asking my parents to buy me a Ford Mustang GT (31k) or maybe just a V6 (22k) for senior year. I already have a car, which is a 2012 Honda Accord. It has has about 22k miles on it. I just wanna know if ford will last me throughout my college years and maybe when I have my own job, or should I just stick with my Honda accord. (I hear Hondas last long).
  • Is it worth paying more for an Acura than a Honda? Just curious? For example, is it worth spending about $7,000 more for a TLX than an Accord? My mom was just curious because she's considering buying either car. She was also considering the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ and she wonders, are there more differences between the Accord and TLX or between the Fusion and MKZ? She was also surprised how the MKZ actually costs more than the TLX, as she told me Japanese cars usually cost more than American ones, or they used to.
  • Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, or Toyota Camry? I'm deciding between the ford fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda accord (all 2014). This might sound lame, but which car is 'cooler.' They're all similar in price and efficient for what I'm looking for. I don't really know much about cars so I'm afraid ill buy a grandma-like car.
  • 2013 Honda Accord, Nissan, Altima, Or Ford Fusion? The car is for college so I need something reliable which would be best? I would also like to have it for 4 to 6 years at least, and obviously that actually depends mainly on how I take care of it
