ICBC Insurance (auto vs moto)?
I'm a 20 year old new driver/rider with no driving record and money is very tight for me. How much do you usually pay for insurance in BC? The car i've been looking at is a 1999 Ford Taurus or a 2001 Toyota Corolla and the bike is a Honda CBR125 (125cc). I could not find any online quotes so I just wanted to hear from some people!
Also my father does not live in BC but would sign me under his policy, which am I better off driving?
Thanks for any advice!
Added (1). I'm going to be living in either Surrey or Burnaby
Where in B.C? You'll likely pay a lot more if you live in Vancouver as opposed to living it Vernon for example.
ICBC does not provide quotes online. You have to contact an Autoplan agent and ask them for a quote for the three vehicles you listed. Also what do you mean your father would sign you under his policy? ICBC insurance is individual and attached to the plate that the vehicle is registered to. You can't have multiple vehicles attached to one plate. Since you have to be declared as the principal operator you might as well register the vehicle under your name. It makes no sense in your situation to have the vehicle registered in your father's name.
- Will a 2006 taurus auto transmission fit a 2004 ford taurus? I have a 2004 ford taurus with an auto transmission. At first it was jumping out of overdrive, now it won't go in to overdrive and it slips.
- Is an auto loan the same as the amount of the car cost? For instance my auto loan is 30k, but I could have sworn my car costed less then that. Don't understand why my auto loan is so high. My auto loan is through capital one and I got my car at a ford dealership
- How to recover the $2,000 initial I pay for an auto lease now that I'm returning the car after 2 years? Due to my credit I was required to pay this amount as a rebate according to the Dealer. The monthly installments for a Ford Fusion SE 2012 were $ 270., and after 2 years I just want to return the car. The miles allowed were 21,000. The full cover insurance was also expensive. We were thinking to buy this car, but the bills were expensive, and on the TV we saw the leasing prices were less than $190.00 for a Fusin 2014. I think we did a bad business with this car even though our credit improved.
