Added (1). I have a 2002 Ford Taurus. While my son-in-law was doing the front brakes we noticed that the driver's side subframe mount was badly deteriorated. The front end makes a subtle clunking sound when driven. There was some disagreement between a few of us as to what happens if it fails and the cost of a repair. Does anyone have any insight into this situation?

A bad motor mount can certainly cause this issue, and i wouldn't expect it to cost more than a few hundred dollars out the door for repair

I have a 2002 ford escose sedan and i get really fustrated cause of engine rough vibrations people give me alot of reasons but i don't know at all. One thing i now did was replace the front motor mount the stock one was torn, and i put a aftermarket mount, now i tried driving it but it still vibrates and now it feels worse what's happening after replacing the mount what can the next symptom be any ideas thank you. I only replaced one motor mount cause the rest are working fine!
