Can I switch tires from my Ford Taurus to another car?
I have a 2002 Ford Taurus FWD that I'm going to sell but want to take the tires off first and use on another car I own. The tire size for the Ford Taurus is P215/ 06 R16 and has a 5 lug nut pattern. I have a 2003 Grand MARQUIS RWD with tires sized P225/ 60 R16 and a 5 lug nut pattern. If I can't use them on the Mercury Grand Marquis. I have a 2003 FWD Pontiac Grand Prix with tires sized P225/ 60 R16. Any information would be great I tried calling 2 local tire shops one store said I could put them on no problem the other store said it can't be done.
Will fit the Grand Marquis, but not the Pontiac.
Any of these tires can be switched assuming the 06 is supposed to be 60
- Can 225/70R16 tires fit on rims that have 225/70r14 tires on them? I have 225/70r14 tires on my Ford ranger. I just got some 225/70r16 tires of the same brand, Cooper, given to me. Will they fit on the 225/70r14 rims or do I need to get rims to fit the 225/70r16.
- If a car causes another car to swerve and spin-out, is it considered hit-and-run if they leave the scene? On the way to work this morning, I saw a Ford truck cut off a smaller car and the poor car spun out in the rain and ended up facing the opposite direction. This caused the traffic to stop because it looked like the vehicle wouldn't start. The ford truck most likely knew he did that but kept going, instead of stopping. He didn't hit the car or any cars at all during the time. If he didn't actually hit anything, is it still considered hit and run? Should he have stopped?
- Will a set of 235/60-R17 tires fit a vehicle with 225/50-R17 tires currently? If they do I'm assuming there would be a MPH difference on the speedometer. Update: The 60 series set is from a 2014 Ford Focus and are stud-less winter tires. They are to go on a 2012 Ford Fusion.
- Is it better to ride on 32 inch tires or 33 inch tires on a 2010 f150? As of right now I have 33 inch tires on my 2010 ford f150 supercrew cab truck. It has a 2 inch leveling kit. The previous owner put 33s on it. When I make sharp turns I feel maybe the tire size is maybe too big? It's always making a grinding noise
