2002 Buick rendezvous or 2003 Ford taurus?
Which would be more reliable in the long run even with repairs since they are older vehicles.
The Taurus, by far. Not even a close call. The Taurus is one of the best selling cars for the last many years. They are plentiful and parts availability is assured. The Rendezvous on the other hand, had relatively few sales and parts availability will be less because of this.
Definitely the Ford taurus i have one from 2000 and it's a very reliable car just take care of it, and don't forget to keep up with the maintenance and it will run for a long time. It is also fun to drive, it's got acceleration for a slow looking car.
I used to own a '96 Taurus - it was always in the shop for little things and Transmission was replaced 2 times on warranty. NOT RECOMMENDED.
The Taurus trans is notorious. Both cars are dogs in my opinion. I'd keep looking

2003 Taurus has two engines that have been discontinued by Ford.
- Which car is the overall to keep for a couple of yrs? 1999 Nissan maxima, 1999 Altima, 2006 ford Taurus or 2002 buick lesabre? All of them have low mileage as the Taurus have 69000 and the maxima have the highest of 123000. They all under 1100 bucks.
