What size alternator is required for a '89 Ford Ranger 2.9l?
Several are listed for this vehicle.A 60amp,65amp, and 80amp. If it has ac, it usually requires a 80amp. If it doesn't have ac, its usually a 60amp. There are different ears(mounting tabs)depending on which alternater your vehicle has so that also determines which one you need to buy. Some have internal regulators and some have external regulators. Its best if you get on Autozone.com, click my zone, my vehicles, add your vehicle info, click shop, replacement parts, then search under starting and charging.Once the selection of alternaters pop up, click on each one individually, then click specifications and it will list amps, ac/no ac, internal or external regulator, and mounting tab location. If you don't choose the right one, it won't fit. There are about 10 different alternaters listed. If I knew exactly which one you needed, I would post it myself
- What truck is a size up from a Ford Ranger? I'm thinking of getting a 17 foot tri hull boat and i'm just not sure my ranger would be able to pull it up the ramp, so what truck would be a size up from the ranger? Also does anything think my ranger could handle it? Its a 91 ranger xlt 3.0 v6 right now it only has a hook up for a small boat but i could get an actual towing kit.
- What size exhaust tip will fit my ford ranger? I'm looking for an exhaust tip for my 2007 ford ranger. I see they come in a variety of inlet sizes, and i'm assuming the right size for a ford ranger is 2.25''. Just wondering if someone knows for sure before i purchase one. The engine size is 2.3L if that helps.
- Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
- Commercial's License Required? Yes or No? 2014 Ford Super Duty F-250 XL 6.7l PowerStroke is a truck that has a 14,000 GVWR. Would i need a CDL for this pick-up.
