What kind of oil does my Ford Ranger need?
I recently bought a 90' Ford Ranger, but not sure what kind of oil does my truck needs…
If you intend to do your own oil change, all you have to do is ask at the auto parts store, and they will look it up. That is where you are likely to get the filter anyway.
Synthetic blend 5w-20 should be fine if you have an oil leak use max life. You may get different oils depending on size of your engine and the tempeture changes that occur where you live
- What kind of Synthetic Oil does Ford use? GM recommends Dexos in all newer GM s. Does Ford have a specialty oil that they recommend/prefer? Especially something that won't void a warranty
- What automatic transmission fluid/oil do I need for a Ford Ranger 2006 regular cab? I'm looking around the net, but no luck. My dad is at Walmart trying to find the right one and needs it for his truck.
- Does the oil pan have to be removed to change the rear main seal on a ford 3.0L V6 in a 2000 ford ranger? I have the engine removed from the truck and was swaping in a salvaged engine that all checks out good except for a slight leaking rear main seal. So, after inspecting the rear main seal, it appears as though a could just slide it out and a new one in. Does the oil pan need to be removed? Or can I just carefully remove the old seal and clean the surfaces good and install a new one?
- What kind of oil do i put in my car? I just got my first car it's a 2000 Ford focus what kind or oil do I put in it? And does it matter what kind of coolant I put in it
