My 97 ford ranger leaks coolant onto the rear of the engine, by the transmission area?
Leaks before transmission housing.
It leaks at the bell housing? Behind the transmission torque converter there are freez plugs in the engine and one could be leaking! Or it might be leaking from the intake gasket!
Check your heater core hoses
The coolant is under pressure. You could have a pinhole leak anywhere in your coolant hoses or radiator and it would be sprayed toward the back of the engine.
After driving it and before shutting it down, pop the hood and check.
4.0? Their intake manifold gasket is HORRIBLE. Not that hard to change if you have a Haynes or Clymer manual.
- Why haven't the Clintons been brought onto MSNBC as consultants for the Ford story? I mean, they have more experience than any of the rest of us. IT seems like they would have some insight.
- What is a good 5/6 speed Transmission that will fit onto a 302 Ford V8? I have a 1970 Ford Torino 500 and my C4 trans is failing. I'm kind of tired of the 3 speed, so I'd like to upgrade to a 5 or 6 speed to get better gas mileage at higher speeds, plus to go faster in general. I don't really mind if it's automatic or manual, but my car right now is set up for automatic.
- 2002 ford taurus coolant bubbling out of coolant tank cap? Coolant is bubbling out of the tank cap on my taurus. The coolant is a bit over the fill to line. The coolant is the normal green color. I don't think it having a bit of extra coolant in the tank is doing this. The cap itself maybe? I just bought this car and it didn't do this until today.
- I have a 95 ford mustang that is leaking oil and coolant both appear to be separate leaks? The engine is a 3.8L v6. The car is difficult to start, usually on the 5th try it starts. After long periods of driving it stalls out and has to sit for a couple hours. It has a new TPS and a new idle air control valve and just had the oil changed
