Is it possible to have a bent vaulve and still have normal compression?
Ford ranger 92 v6 4.0
If it was a very slight bend, maybe. But it would be extremely unusual…
If a valve is bent, sticking or burnt it won't seal properly in it's seat, and so you won't have normal compression.
You could have a bad valve spring or liffter etc that might indicate a valve fault, but the valve still seals, and compression is therefore good.
- Oil gauge randomly drops to 0 and back to normal? 2001 ford ranger 90, xxx miles While driving my oil guage will randomly drop to 0 and my check guage light comes on, it only drops to 0 for maybe a couple of seconds and goes back to normal. When i'm accelerating and my rpms r high you can hear an irregular revving. I'm at a loss as to what this could be, and it does sound concerning as it is messing with my revving
- Low compression cause ticking? On my 2005 v6 ford mustang, i have a problem. All of the cylinders are at about 185-195psi except 2. 2 of them are at 170psi and both of those make a ticking noise when the engine is on and both of their spark plug gaps close when i start. Don't tell me i have the wrong plugs because i don't. I have tried 3 new OEM plugs on each and the same thing happens. What is wrong and how do i fix it?
- Media and the left are bent on believing Ford no matter what. Will she make up details to make sure her story is believable? So far her only witness has denied being there. Her details are so sketchy they are not really believable. But, Kavanaugh is being roasted anyway. This is just terrible. The point being, she could say ANYTHING at this point and the left would believe it. She can contradict herself (the number of people in the room) or she can flat out lie because we're not demanding any proof. It is really terrible what they are doing to Kavanaugh.
- I have squealihg rear brake drums on a Ford Focus. I've replaced shoes and drums and still squeals. Has? Anyone heard of silencer pads for the backing plates? There's a Ford TSB #15-10-5 on it, but my Ford dealer can't find the part # for them. It seems that you glue some sort of material to your backing plates to stop the noise, The dealer told me to get all new Ford shoes for $116.00. Any other tricks that my work?
