Car insurance for a 17 year old?
How much would it be for liability in the state of Texas, specifically college station Texas a college town. How much would it be with a Chevy impala/Honda accord or Ford Explorer or Ford Ranger and any small truck. I plan on saving $5000 by the end of summer. I plan on spending $1500/$2000 on the car and the rest for insurance/maintenance. I plan on working weekends at Kroger which is minimum wage and I should make about $150-180 a weekend without tax and working almost full time in the summer but I may be gone for a month in the summer.
Who knows! There are too many variables to speculate.
Here's what you need to do. Go car shopping. Make note of the VINs of any cars you may wish to consider. Give the VINs to an insurance provider. They will be able to give you a quote within minutes. Guaranteed.
We can answer many questions here on YA.
One thing it is impossible to answer is specific insurance costs for a specific individual. That's what insurance agents are for.
A WHOLE lot.
1) We can't tell you. Only an insurance agent can
2) You can't get your own insurance at age 17 You either have to be 18 or be insured under the policy of a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions
3) You have to be covered to drive all insured vehicles in the same household (ie parents or siblings cars), so if any are under a full coverage policy, your rate will be based on full coverage, not liability only
Ask an insurance agent. How would anyone else know?
Most people have the brains to call a car insurance agent for a quote.
It would by a lot. And by a lot, I mean somewhere between an arm & a leg and holy Jesus are you kidding me. Maybe even a king's ransom. Thank you for asking.
You do know that this site doesn't do insurance estimates, right?
Your parents have to ask their insurance company because at 17 you can't get insurance in your own name.
You can't but your parents do!
I believe you have to get co sign by adult and it tended to be more expensive
- Is it a good idea for an 18 year old to buy a $20,000 Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang or a challenger? I just graduated HS getting into college and I'm thinking of buying a used or brand new car ( listed above) I have about 5000 for down payment. But I'm just not sure if it's a good financial decision, but at the same time I really want the car. Please leave your opinion below! My credit score is like 650!

- If you're parked waiting for a friend in a gd area in Aussie+ a 60 year old in a Porsche parks opposite u, exits his car stepping toward? You a metre and scowling at u without breaking his gaze, what's his problem? I looked away first stupidly as I'm in my car and should not have let him do that, but when he walked off he did another death stare at me for 5 metres… I feel violated by this agro guy… Why does he think he owns the street? would you have said " what's up?" Or what are you staring at so much? I'm 25 in a new Ford.
- Is it possible for an SUV to have better fuel economy than a (5 year old) Sedan? 2 friends of mine: One owns a Lexus LX 570 SUV (not sure if it's a 2018 or 2019 model) and claims that it can go about 700km on a full tank. The other guy owns a Ford Fusion 2014 (Sedan) and says that his can go about 470km on a full tank. (apparently, It used to go about 600km when it was new). How could this even be possible?
