Battery light on in my 1995 ford ranger 5 speed what all can it be? - 1
The light is on because there's a problem with the charging system. More than likely the alternator is defective. Take the car to any auto parts store and they can check the system.
Normally its an indication of no charging .hence draining battery when engine is running. Odds are alternator issue. Garage can check for you and replace.
do check ist not a case of simple wire connection loose? Broken? Especially at alternator fitting where wires go onto it.
- Will a 1993 3.0 Ford Ranger engine fit and work with my 1995 Ford ranger that has a bad motor? My 1995 ford ranger 3.0 5 speed ran hot and cracked the heads and spun a bearing. Will a 3.0 out of a 1993 Ford Ranger fit and work? My concerns are the 1993 has a distributor and my 1995 does not. Are the water pumps and accessories the same?
- Ford Ranger Courtesy light door switches part number for 1995? I have a post of yours about the courtesy door switches on ford ranger and I think I need new ones. Could you provide a part number and a place to order these from?
- Ford ranger '03 Fuse blown battery light? My dome light is loose and ducktaped to the roof, and its caused me to blow the speedometer/windshield wipers fuse four times now. After replacing the fuse this last time, the battery light is on and the battery gage indicates a low battery. I'm thinking I may of damaged an alternatator wire or something.
- Can I make my five speed to a six speed? I have a 91 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 five speed. I know it's not an idea vehicle to fix but I enjoy the vehicle much. I would to fix it up, I know to give it a better performance that I have to make a lot of things custom. One thing I'd like to do is change it to a six speed, would it be wise to do so and is it possible? I'm hoping for a little bit gas mileage doing this and maybe faster acceleration?
