Aftermarket stereo issues?
I bought and installed an aftermarket stereo for my '96 Ford Ranger. After I installed it I realized that the fuse in my truck is 7.5 amps while the stereo seems to need 10 amps. Is there anyway I can easily raise the power or do I need to wire the stereo directly to the battery?
It's okay to up the 7.5A fuse to 10A fuse, but not any higher. The current wiring will handle it okay as long as it is not over the 10A.
- 2001 ford taurus aftermarket radio? Please help me. Looking to hook up a aftermarket radio in my 2001 ford taurus. What is EVERYTHING I need to put a new radio in my car.
- What's the best aftermarket exhaust for my 2002 Ford Mustang GT Deluxe? Just got a new deluxe and I want to put a new exhaust on it. I want it I sound very deep and throaty and be audible but not so loud that you can hear it a mile away. Any ideas?
- Ford approved aftermarket parts? I have a 2014 Mustang V6 and was thinking of installing some aftermarket parts (ie: BBK Throttle Body, Airaid CAI, Roush axle back exhaust, tune, etc). But, the dealership said the parts would need to be Ford approved, in order to not void the warranties. He suggested Ford Racing, but they don't make many parts for a V6. All I could find was an axle back exhaust. So, my question is, are there any other Ford approved aftermarket parts for a 14 V6?
- Can i still use steering wheel controls with an aftermarket radio? I was thinking about buying an aftermarket radio for my 06 ford fusion because i want Bluetooth, USB and aux. I do love using the audio controls on the steering wheel, and i was going to go best buy to see what they can do, but i was just wondering if you can still use them, or its possible to do so, with an aftermarket stereo?
