2010 Ford Ranger, Speaker Upgrade

I just bought a 2010 Ford Ranger and I want to install some better speakers but I don't know what type… Or brand or even what watts that I want or need.
I want something with some bass when you turn the music up.
I'll like to be able to buy a pair for under 60 I'll like it to be a little cheaper but I'm not sure if I can get "good" speakers for under 40 or 50.
Please and Thank you if you're able to help 2010 Ford Ranger, Speaker Upgrade

Son, if you want the aftermarket speakers to sound "good" then you need an amplifier to run it. Since you don't have much money, you can run the aftermarket speakers along with the factory head unit.

The HPF crossover on the head unit or amplifier should ONLY be set to produce mids and highs, not low-end frequencies below 120hz. Most people hear "bass" coming out from a speaker is because the driver has the speaker bass boosted or the HPF crossover on the head unit or amplifier is set too low.

A human's hearing frequency is estimated from 20hz to 20,000hz. The output frequency of a subwoofer is 20hz to 500hz. Most people use a LPF crossover to cut it down to 120hz. A low-end frequency is what most people hear coming from a concert, a party, or from a vehicle about half a mile away. Because low-end frequencies are traveled further than mids and highs. If they have hearing loss of low-end frequencies, then they WON'T hear it.

If you would like to invest putting a subwoofer into your pickup truck, you can neither put it on the passenger's seat or on the back of the pickup. But keep in mind that you won't be able to carry a passenger if you put it on the passenger's seat. If you want it on the back of the pickup, make sure the enclosure of the subwoofer is safely screwed and protected onto the pickup. This will protect thugs and bass heads to screw it off and steal it.

Most aftermarket speakers are good. What matters is what type of amplifier you run it on. You should NEVER use a monoblock amplifier to run the speakers. A monoblock amp is ONLY for a subwoofer.

You CAN run it on the "factory head unit" but it's not gonna fulfill your expectation.

A bass head and a car audio enthusiast like me needs it to be LOUD.

Go to a stereo shop and see what you like by auditioning what's on display. You could even keep the stereo you have. For only $60 your choice is a bit limited, but pay attention to the power rating in RMS watts to be sure they can handle the 15-20 watts or slightly more, the radio outputs. The impedance is 4 OHMs. This will do as long as you goal is good performance IN YOUR vehicle and not for the whole neighborhood. If you really have a tight budget, you might meets your needs at Walmart, but still, listen to the speakers first.
