07 ford ranger. Crank but won't start?
Replaced pump & filter. 4.0 liter. Also hit gas reset. Took line off from filter & it's pumping gas
Not that
Check for spark from the ignition system
Having a fuel supply is 1/3 of what's needed for combustion. You also need spark and compression. On an '07 the compression isn't likely to be the problem unless its been badly abused so I'd start by checking for spark. First suspects are the coils and plugs.
I think its the electricity cables but DON't use the jumper cables at all
- 99 ford ranger clicks once, but won't start what could be wrong? The truck was running fine, but the day before yesterday it wouldn't start. All the lights and stereo come on so its not the battery. When you turn the key it clicks once but doesn't start. All the plugs are new and the belts, and the transmission is new too.
- 97 FORD RANGER WILL CRANK BUT WILL NOT START? PLACED NEW MOTOR IN AFTER OLD MOTOR BROKE A TIMING BELT. HAVE BASICALLY REPLACE EVERYTHING, COMPUTER CAM SHAFT SENSOR COILS FUEL INJECTORS. CRAZY THING ABOUT IT, IT WILL START WITH A 6CYL COMPUTER IN IT TILL THE FUEL RUNS OUT OF THE LINE BUT REPLACE IT WITH THE CORRECT ONE AND NOTHING BUT BACKFIRING IF YOU EVEN GET THAT. REPLACED WIRING HARNESS ALSO. ANY Help WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
- 2002 ford ranger wants to start but won't? I took the truck threw a mud hole. Made it threw then truck stalled. I got it to start back up but it was blowing out some smoke so friends convinced me to just let it sit and dry. I did that and now it won't start at all. It acts like it wants to but just won't.
- 2000 Ford ranger won't start, but still has power? It has a brand new battery, battery cables, ignition switch, starter, and starter relay. Yet when I get in it has power enough that everything comes on, but if I turn the key once, the entire truck goes dead. I can reset the battery, and the process will begin again. I don't have anymore ideas.
