Offered to advertise on my box truck?
I found a company that offers to pay me around 500 bucks a month to cover up my box truck with an advertisement. Is this a good offer considering that I have this truck traveling along the i-5 corridor every week going through major cities and clocking around 2000 miles a week. Also is it possible to get a direct contract with pepsi, Nike, Coca cola, etc for them to advertise? Any ideas?
I own a 16ft Ford E350 previous budget truck.
Most of the big boys advertise through agencies. You would need to contact these agencies and tell them about the location and exposure you can offer. They might match you up right then and there with someone or you will have to wait. For the big boys to look your way you need to be in an area where they can't get exposure through regular means.
$500 per month is not to bad a price. Considering the company will have to give you a FREE paint job on your truck and enter into a contract with you. It's not all in your favor tho. You will have to show mileage driven and I can assure you there will be spot checks to make sure you are in the area you had specified. Just make sure there's a bond in place that will be used if they cancel out the contract, or just quit paying you. The bond is to be used to repaint the truck to remove the advertisement and cover the rest of the contract.
For every day your truck runs down the road without advertisement is money not going in your pocket. And the big boys don't pay to much better and the agency they go through will get a cut. You need to make the decision.
There are lots of scams that end up selling you a obsolete list of former advertisers for $39.
The demand for auto-wrap ads is pretty low, I see less than one per 1000 cars on the street, no doubt the number of people who would like to earn such 'free' money is way higher than that.
You would probably have to go through an advertising agency to show ad for a major company, often these campaigns just run for a few months and require you to install a GPS, some want you to park at major events as well, your mileage sounds ideal for such ads, but there may be local laws prohibiting such ads.
From a mobile advertising interview "Our typical campaign lasts three to six months"

- Why did my Ford E350 box truck start leaking transmission fluid? So I left my truck and didn't drive it for about a week or two and 2 days ago I noticed a huge leak that came from the transmission. I'm really curious as to why it happened since I didn't drive it for these two weeks and it happened just recently. What is going on? Bad seals? Hot weather made it start seeping through? I checked the fluid levels and they look fine to me. Advice?

- Should there be some kind of punishment for Ford's lawyers for not telling her the senate judiciary committee offered to send people to? California so she could be interviewed there? Ford claimed under oath she was not told about this offer. Why did her lawyers keep this from her?
