Need help weighing the pros and cons of what kind of camper van to buy?
So I plan on moving down to Nashville and living in a van in the very near future. I'm on the fence between 2. The first option is a 1988 Ford e350 diesel dually ambulance that has been fully converted. Running water, inverter, heat, ac. Pretty much everything in an rv besides a toilet. My second option is getting a cargo van and converting it or just getting one of those conversion Van's. I'm just not sure what my best bet is.
I bet the ambulance has worse fuel economy but is more sturdily built. For your purpose it sounds better to me.
- Solar panel on Ford E150 van JMC Tiara Package. Van came w own solar setup but its old and solar panel is tiny. Upgradn to 100w panel? Can I use the cables and solar meter etc (setup van came with) to power the renogy 100w panel? Or do I need to get bigger cables etc
- Pros and cons of upgrading alternator? I have a 99 ford crown Vic and it's about time to change my alternator. My last question about 2 weeks ago explains everything. But a stock alt for my car is 135 amps. I'm thinking of getting a 220 amp high output alternator to also support my stereo systems. There no other alternator just 135amp and 220amp. I'm just wondering will that produce too much power or no?
- Help installing brakes on a 1995 econoline ford van? I need to know how the circled hook goes on the thing pointed at its for brakes on the van i mentioned
- Is it possible to trade my 2012 Ford Fusion for a small suv and camper? I have a 2012 Ford Fusion I'm thinking about trading it for a small SUV and camper. We're looking at purchasing a 31 ft. Travel trailer to live in over the next year or two It's just my husband and I. Is this something that could be worked out and if so how? Or would is it cause a financial loss to me? Is it more trouble than it is worth? Seeking knowledgeable responses please.
