Your ford won't start? What a shock. Try changing the wiper blades.

Big Fords are famous for corroding the inside of the positive ( red wire ) battery cable clamp. Pop the clamp off & scrape the inside of the clamp & the sides of the battery posts with a small pocket-knife blade & see if that helps. If it does help, most all car parts stores carry a small wire brush designed just for that job. Now, around that time Ford also experimented with sheet-metal battery clamps instead of the solid 'lead' type clamps - They didn't work. So if your truck has the sheet-metal clamps, have them replaced with the heavier solid lead type - Both of them. My '02 Grand Marquis was having some trouble starting, so I tugged on the red wire to see if the clamp was lose & the sheet-metal clamp tore in half. Corroded all the way thru…

I have a 2003 f-150 XL. It only has 31450 miles on it. Do you use it a lot? My mechanic said it was just bad fuel and a bad battery. I tried to jump it with a sedan and it didn't work. I jumped it with a f-250 and it started. Try to jump it with a bigger vehicle and when it starts let it run for a good 45 minutes while monitoring it. It might be a bad spark plug or clogged fuel injectors.
