Would my engine fan from my 1997 ford thunderbird v8 fit in my 1996 mustang 4.6L?
I heard the engines are similar, someone clarify?
Easy way to tell with ford parts is to look at he number on them. It will start with a letter and the second character will be a number. Like F7XXX would be 1997 Ford. If they have the same part number they are interchangeable. Even if the last two to four characters after a - are different. The last characters are just engineering changes to the original specifications. Or just go to a website like Advance Auto parts and check the same part for the different vehicles and see if they are the same number.
Hi so anything FORD is possible as they really have changed very little to the design of the engine bays.
- What would cause an ignition coil to fail repeatedly on a 1997 Ford Thunderbird? The car has 65,000 miles on it and has received regular tune ups and oil changes but over the past year or so it leaves me stranded every 3 months or so leaving me to have it towed to the nearest mechanic--including the Ford Dealer once. Every time I'm told it was the ignition coil and it is replaced and the car runs fine for several weeks until the next incident.
- My fuel gage in my 1996 ford thunderbird don't work? My ford thunderbird gas gage is all the way past full and does not move any susgetions on how i can fix the gas gage
- 1997 ford tbird and 1997 ford mustang parts? Can I use parts from a 97 4.6 mustang on my 97 4.6 third and can I use any suspension parts from a mustang
- I have a 1995 ford Thunderbird lx that has a V8 engine. The engine overheats fast and I can't drive it far. What might be the problem? I can only go up the road a couple of miles before I have to turn the car off and check antifreeze. Because, The antifreeze drains when I drive far, now I use water instead of antifreeze.
