Where should i take my mustang to get tuned?
I have a 2014 v6 premium mustang and i wanted to get it tuned. My friend and I were deciding what would be the best place to take it. We were thinking about taking it to Hennessey. I know that sounds weird because i only have a v6 and they mostly deal with super cars and what not but they did a ford Taurus so i figured why not mine? Give me your opinion about what you think i should do and give some suggestions.
Sorry, but dealerships do not TUNE anything. Not sure what your trying to get out of a V6. When you tune something, it is usually from you installing mods of some sort like a chip, exhaust, etc. Then you have it tuned after you installed that.
If you installed nothing, the people at the performance shop wil sort of get a good laugh from your request
If all you have is an exhaust, then you don't need a dyno tune. It would largely a waste of money. Dyno tuning is something you do when you have done moderate to substantial modifications to your car. If you add forced induction you'll need a tune, or if you replaced the cams and had the heads reworked in conjunction with some additional bolt ons, then you'll need a tune. A cat back system alone won't warrant getting a tune.
Also if you get a custom tune, your warranty goes up in smoke. They do offer a package for the SHO Taurus which is a twin turbo V6, AWD car, they don't do anything with the standard Taurus. The upgrade kit they sell for the SHO costs about $4500 for the parts alone.
Anyway Hennessey only mods certain cars, the V6 Mustang isn't one of them.
Your moms boyfriend will do it.
Wherever you purchased/dealership should have given u warranty under which it can be done for free of cost. Pretty much what ^^^ guys said.
Dealership, since it's just a tune up.
"Tuning" it will probably void the mfr's warranty. Are you prepared to face that
Why not take it back to the dealership where you bought it. They will probably go over it for free and to specifications because you are a new customer and it is under warranty.
Look into your local dealerships.
