Added (1). I know I will need Crite's motor mounts, different headers or stock 429 manifolds, thinner radiator, power brakes with a slimmer brake booster but wondering if the 1967/68 390/428 stock big block Mustang suspension will work and be strong enough to support the engine comfortably. I hope so because I want to use the stock 1967 Mustang big block suspension. I do not want to use a Mustang II or Tubular independent rack set up.

Check with Jegs. In their catalog is a whole section on Stang parts. Seems like they had different front coil springs, H.D. Which is what you need.

Coil springs, shocks, sway bar upgrade, replace rebuild the from suspension, then new radiator & transmission, new rear end, upgrade the entire rear suspension also. A lot of work but one heck of a car when you're all dome.
