What should I do with my new car?
So I recently bought a mustang. The dealer said everything was fine and they gave me my title and my tags and my registration. They listed the car as sold to me. A week later though the bank that financed me said they couldn t verify the income so they declined. Now it was either I return the car or they find me a new company. They said they will ask ford to finance me, ford said if I put an additional 2k down they will. All I had was 1k though and they gave me 1 week to come up with the other 1k. It's been almost 2 months now and they have yet to ask for the other 1k or anything… I haven't made a payment for the car I've been driving for 2 months now lol
What do I do?
You should call the dealer and find out what's going on. If it's been 2 months hopefully you have saved up some money to make a payment to them.
At some point the dealer is going to send the repo man around to get their car, and trash your credit rating, which means you won't be able to buy another car.
Dig up another $1,000 from some place, go and finalise the deal, and that way you keep the car, and your credit rating.
Or, stick your head in sand, do nothing, and wait for the problems to start.
Nice
Contact the dealership
Pretty soon they will want the car or more money. And don't expect a refund if & when they do.
You are driving a car that hasn't been paid for and still belongs to the dealer. I'm surprised the dealer hasn't asked you to return it. Two months is a long time for a dealer to still be trying to get you approved.
Let me tell you what happened.
The dealer laid to Ford and said that you had come up with the additional $2,000.00. Ford paid them for the deal and now you owe the dealer the additional $1,000.00.
At some point they will contact you and want their money.
- Should I get a new car or keep paying off my current one? I have a 2013 Ford Fusion with about 58,000 miles on it. I commute to work everyday, and my job requires me to travel, so I've really put the miles on. The original loan amount was $25k, and I have about $14k left on it. I was considering buying a different car and trading in my Fusion. Would that be a stupid idea? Should I just pay the car off?
- Should I replace the oil in my new car? I bought a new Ford Focus. I have read that replacing the oil after the first 1000 miles can benefit the engine's lifespan. What are the pros and cons of such an oil change, and would you recommend it?
- I want to buy a new car under 13000,to last at least 10 years. What should i buy? I was thinking at an ford fiesta. What do you think? Other suggestions? I don't want to buy one that costs much to repair… 13000 euros
