What can I do to lower my insurance rates?

Within a 6 month period, I was hit (not at fault) 4 times. One of which was a total loss. Before this, my rate teetered at about $117.00. Now, when I apply for insurance, my rates are 600/month+.
This is my rent! How can I lower this? The rates are RIDICULOUS.

Additional info: Been driving for 10 years.
Own a used Ford Mustang.
Paid off.
No "at faults" within last five years.
The above mentioned accidents.
Drive about 1k miles a month
Few (3) speeding fix.

Insight would be appreciated.

SN: if you have any miserable, rude comments, keep them to yourself, and then get a life.

You can move to a place where insurance costs less. The price of insurance is mostly based on your age, where you live, the number of tickets and accidents, and maybe your gender and/or marital status. You can't change your age, you probably shouldn't change your gender just to save on insurance, and you can't undo the accidents. So changing where you live is going to be the best option.

Nothing you can do insurance is a f***** b*** I just had my policy voided because my dad was the policy holder and I was the registered owner and keeper of car. Just make sure you don't do anything dodgy because they will find out and in my case I was only insured for 3-4 months paid the whole thing upfront and they kept my premium the b*****. Good luck anyway i'm in the same boat need new cheap insurance

Your best option is to compare car insurance quotes from multiple companies in your local area. You do this online for free…

Try a site like: QuoteAgents.com

Insurance companies would be very skeptical at 4 accidents in six months when NONE are your fault.

You also have 3 tickets for speeding. As far as they're concerned, you're a habitual offender.

One thing you could do is voluntarily take a defensive driver's course. That will at least get you a discount.
Also compare rates from multiple providers.

  • What other vehicles have the same lower control arm/ ball joint assembly as a 2004-2009 Mazda 3? Trying to find a replacement at a junk yard, so far I know about the Mazda 5 which is compatible, wondering if there are any Fords that would have the same piece. A list of make/model/year would be great.
  • What is the best way to lower my 2010 dodge ram? I just purchaced a 2010 Dodge Ram its a single cab v6, but i was wondering what would be the best way to lower it. • Pay Cash at car dealership, lower price? Recently sold my truck, and have a good amount of money to buy a car from a delearship, like ford, chevy, etc… I have the chance of paying for the car I want in cash. I know if I do this I would be able to haggle down the asking price, my question is how much? Anyone from experience done this before? Or would I just be better off making a huge down payment and paying the rest off? Comments or stories would help.
