Sound coming from engine?
I own a 2001 ford mustang v6. There's a bit of a faint sound. Its a bit hard to describe it whenever my RPMs goes higher, the sound sounds more high pitch. I'm thinking it might be the belt since its moves with the RPM. It isn't a squeeling sound. I just want to know if a faint sound is normal for a car of this year
A faint sound is the best you can do? If you think it is the belt remove it you can run the engine for a minute without hurting anything.
- Ticking noise coming from engine? - 1 I have a 1978 Ford Ranchero and there's a ticking noise coming from the passenger side In engine. And this car was given to me and I had my camshaft, timing chain set, and all 16 lifters changed what can this noise be? Could it be from a bad rocker arm? And what can I do to quiet this noise. I'm broke so I can't do any further expensive repairs
- Steam/smoke coming from engine? 2001 Ford Taurus, V6. Only 86K. Just to note had the car over 6 months now. Works great nothing weird going on, except steam or smoke coming from engine but I noticed only comes from front end and when it's night and cold outside I can see it. I just change the reservoir about a month ago. The air does have a small leak that I know of. What are your thoughts? Please & Thank you.
- Rattling noise coming from passenger side possibly engine when going up steep hills, for ranger? I ave a 2007 ford ranger and recently when going up hills there has been a rattling noise that seems to come from the passenger side towards the engine or front of the truck. What could cause this? I also recently had an oil change, and they put 5w30 in instead of the recommended 5w20, could any of this be a cause?
- I'm having the code P0304 keep coming up on my 2000 Ford Contour. With a 2.0 engine? The car ran fine until I replaced the fuel pump and assembly. I can drive the car for about 4 hours and it will start stalling. The other fuel pump and assembly came from a salvage yard. Could the fuel pump be the problem?
