I'm having the code P0304 keep coming up on my 2000 Ford Contour. With a 2.0 engine?
The car ran fine until I replaced the fuel pump and assembly. I can drive the car for about 4 hours and it will start stalling. The other fuel pump and assembly came from a salvage yard. Could the fuel pump be the problem?
If you keep getting P0304 then it's something related to the fourth cylinder. If your car has coil packs, switch the pack from cylinder 4 to cylinder 1 and see if the car tosses a code. If the coil pack is bad, you will get P0301.
We're not car mechanics. People train, study, get tested and get certified to be a licensed mechanic. You claim YOU had a car that ran fine. Why was the "fuel pump and assembly," whatever that means, replaced? Then, why did you get an used replacement pump? Are you not able to afford new parts or mechanic for this 10 year old vehicle? Now you know the rest of the story.
P0304 won't make the car stall. Not sure why people waste their time & money buying that junk from the junk yard. Never buy electrical parts from a junk yard. If its stalling, it could be the fuel pump or something else. You might want to think about letting the dealership or better repair shop look at it

- P0304 code on Ford Mustang? About two weeks ago I got a check engine light on my 2010 Ford Mustang with 60,000 miles. I hooked it up to a code reader and got P0304 which is fourth cylinder misfire. Since the car was at 60,000 miles anyway, I went ahead and replaced all the spark plugs and wires, but the issue remained. I then went to the dealer who suggested it was the coil and replaced it. The problem has just returned. So… What now?
- I too having similar problem with car radio it's not asking for code but not picking up stations? It shows the radio station number but doesn't tune into it I've tried all sorts you can her it searching for station but just doesn' find it. Tried menu button TA settings even manually. It did work just recently bought car haven't got manual I think I pressed something & lost channels. It's RDS 5000 ford ka radio any suggestions?
- How to put on a serpentine belt on a 99 ford contour with a 2.0l vct engine? My serpentine belt snapped so I went to advanced auto parts and bought a new belt. I have looked at the belt diagram on my car and it does not match my pulley system so I tried to put the belt through the pulleys and there's a lot of extra slack at the bottom can anyway give me the correct diagram or help me out?
